Parade The parade provides an opportunity for the Puerto Rican community and friends to celebrate its culture with the community at large. The parade is the central focus of the festival. Parade participants are encouraged to celebrate a Parade Theme and each year a Director's Choice Award is handed out to the unit that celebrates the theme the best.
